SERVICES

WARD

Hemodialysis is a physical replacement therapy for kidney function administered to subjects in which the kidney is critically reduced (terminal uremia).
Our center offers all the services to replace kidney function.

The methods used are:

  • bicarbonate hemodialysis.
  • Bicarbonate hemodialysis occurs thanks to physical-chemical and mechanical principles applied at the level of the dialysis filter where they meet blood and dialysate without coming into direct contact. Sodium bicarbonate is the best substance to correct the metabolic acidosis of these patients.

  • hemodiafiltration.
  • Hemodiafiltration is an extracorporeal blood purification process that associates hemofiltration and hemodialysis, i.e. a blood-purifying blood purification technique for particulate filters with semi-permeable membranes with very high selectivity.
HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE VISIT

Patients who require dialysis are encouraged to provide staff with all the medical records in their possessions and, if coming from another Hemodialysis Center, copy the dialysis tab and infectious markers.

WHY COME FOR A PREVENTIVE VISIT

A nephrological visit is always recommended even when the patient feels good.
Kidney disease is often asymptomatic and a visit does not cause any pain.
Often, a simple ultrasound check, associated with simple blood and urine analyses, are enough to understand the state of health of our kidneys. Our center offers all the services needed to monitor kidney function.

LYMPHODRAINAGE

Lymphatic drainage is a special massage technique carried out in those areas of the body where a bad or reduced lymphatic circulation is present. It is useful in fighting water retention and therefore reducing the blemishes of cellulite. Through manual pressure exerted on specific areas of the body, it stimulates blood circulation and facilitates fluid drainage. The purpose of this treatment is to prevent the accumulation of waste elements and the stagnation of liquids in the vessels. Massaged tissues are released from toxins with the most obvious result a reduction of edema and swelling in the legs. The skin looks so more elastic and the body is remodeled.

Lymph drainage can be performed in all areas of the body that have an excessive reduction in lymphatic circulation. In the case of the limbs, it is advisable to perform an Echo-Doppler first to make sure that there are no pathologies in progress.

To achieve greater benefits, it is advisable to combine sporting practice and proper nutrition with the lymph drainage sessions, full of fluids, to stimulate metabolism, reactivate circulation and reduce fat accumulation. These simple steps favor increased lymphatic drainage.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Lymphatic drainage is absolutely not recommended in subjects with acute inflammation, malignant tumors, cardiac edema, asthma, women during their menstrual cycle and in case of pressure changes (hypertension and heart arrhythmias).

DURATION OF TREATMENT
The number and frequency of treatments depends greatly on the clinical situation and personal lifestyle of the patient. However, multiple treatments are required to achieve lasting results.

WARD

Osteopathy is a discipline based on the holistic principle: the body must be considered in its entirety as its structures (the so-called "bands") are closely linked to each other. The health status of the human body is determined by the equilibrium between all the elements that make up it and by the proper functioning of all structures that link its functions. This is, therefore, a series of specific manipulation techniques. To begin osteopathy treatment, it is first and foremost necessary to have a clear picture of the symptoms of the patient which is obtained during a first session. During this session of about 40 minutes, all useful information is collected: symptoms, clinical backgrounds (including the results of various instrumental examinations), general health conditions, habits and lifestyles. The evaluation then proceeds to the examine the stationary standing posture as well as during various movements. In some cases, it is also necessary to use the stabilometric platform during the evaluation. The patient is placed on a tilting platform that verifies posture and balance. The session continues with the palpation of the tissues to identify the causes of the symptoms.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE VISIT

We recommended bringing any recent skeletal and magnetic resonance scans.

WHY COME FOR A VISIT

Preventing the onset of symptoms is a key aspect of osteopathy. It can happen that previous trauma, joint blockages, etc., can lead to neuro-muscle-skeletal disorders in the long run, thus causing more and more disabling recurrences. Acting over time, through osteopathic treatments, will allow the body to function properly.

RECOMMENDED DURATION AND NUMBER OF SESSIONS

The length and number of sessions is closely related to the patient's condition and symptoms. If there is no contraindication after the initial tests, the osteopathic treatment takes place with an adequate number of sessions (5/6 with a frequency of 7/10 days).

CARDIOLOGY

WARD

Cardiology is the branch of medicine that deals with the study, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular, acquired or congenital diseases. In our center, the cardiology ward conducts medical and sports visits to assess the fitness for competitive and amateur sport.
The cardiological examination evaluates the physical condition of the patient in order to issue the medical certificate of fitness for sports activity and consists of an electrocardiogram. The electrocardiogram monitors the proper functioning of the heart, both at rest and after physical effort.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE VISIT

No specific preparation is required.

Duration of the visit:
The visit takes about 30 minutes.

WHY COME FOR A VISIT

It is through standard cardiological visits (always accompanied by an ECG) that specialists can trace the "individual risk" profile, identifying subjective habits, individual characteristics or metabolic conditions that make it more or less likely for major cardiovascular disease to occur within a set period of time.

In industrialized countries, despite the widespread fear of cancer, it should be noted that most deaths occur due to ischemic heart disease and / or acute circulatory disorders. The number of deaths due to myocardial infarction and cerebral vasculopathy is far superior to that of all tumors as a whole. In light of the above, a proper prevention therapy cannot ignore the subjective cardio-circulatory situation that needs to be assessed together with the specialist and possibly subjected to appropriate specific insights. Based on specific clinical suspicions, the specialist may indicate which in-depth studies are appropriate without forcing the patient to carry out an infinite number of costly and sometimes unnecessary assessments. He may also evaluate on the basis of universally accepted statistical data the individual risk factors and what corrections should be made.

Correct metabolic factors (e.g. blood fat levels), hemodynamic factors (e.g. normalizing pressure values) wrong lifestyle habits (abolishing or reducing cigarette smoking, encouraging the patient to perform adequate physical activity), etc. helps point every patient in the direction of a longer, healthier life.

HIGH POWER LASER

DESCRIPTION

In our Center, we use High Power Laser through a newly conceived laser therapy apparatus.
The device consists of three different diode laser sources that can operate individually or in combination to create a more effective therapy that benefits from the characteristics of each source at the same time.
Laser therapy is used in physiotherapy. It is a painless, non-invasive and risk-free therapy. Treatment is performed by the therapist by pointing the laser beam at the skin surface. -The treatment can be done by point or scan modes, i.e. by sliding the laser over the skin. Point mode is the most effective because it is applied by the therapist exactly around the distressed area. Only a slight heat can be felt at the point of contact. The number of sessions varies according to the patient's problem and the clinical progress made by the therapy.

WHEN TO DO IT

High-power laser application is particularly useful in inflammatory, functional overload or general traumatology, including: osteoarthritis, neuritis, tenosynovitis, tendinitis, bursitis, plantar fasciitis, contracture, stretching and muscle tearing, distortion, bruising, metatarsalgia.
In various kinds of rheumatic and degenerative arthralgia, including: epicondylitis, gonalgia, myositis, polyarthritis, sciatica and lumbago.
During post-surgical motor rehabilitation, post-removal of stitches or rigid anti-inflammatory bandages
